I'm going to be giving you freshers out there tips on how to make the most of your first year at uni!!..Yay!
First of all, congratulations on making it to uni, we all went through the personal statement and UCAS phase but thank God it's all over, finally. *sigh of relief*. I'm sure you lot have your adrenaline pumping while looking forward to moving away from home, that's is you haven't already but most of all looking forward to the fun freshers week activities.
Anyway, if you really want to make friends at uni, freshers week is the time for it because there are thousands of other freshers like you looking to make new friends! so while partying, don't forget to meet a couple of people, makes it more fun.
Also, during freshers week, there are a lot of brand representatives handing out freebies, do well to pick up a couple because they come in handy sometime.
Try to join societies which are of interest to you! This could be another avenue to meet more people.
While doing all that, don't forget the main reason you are at uni for, which is to study,pass and graduate with a good degree!
First year is usually the least tedious year and in most universities, first year does not count toward your final uni grades, but, yes there is a BUT! if you fail any module, you might have to resit the year or get kicked out. No one would want that stress, considering all you put in to get to uni.
So guys, while you have fun, remember to hit the books.
